SEARCH FOR NEW EDITOR OR EDITORS OF CHURCH HISTORY
The American Society of Church History announces a search for new editors and a new institutional home for the journal Church History: Studies in Christianity and Culture, currently housed at Florida State University (FSU).
Published quarterly by Cambridge University Press, the journal seeks essays that advance knowledge of the role Christianity has played in mediating larger social and intellectual forces.
New editors must be in place to begin evaluating submissions by December 2015, although the FSU staff will continue to oversee the business side of the journal until June 2016, when it will be relocated.
Interested parties should submit a preliminary proposal by August 7, 2015.
Preliminary proposals should include the following:-
- A statement of the editor(s)’ vision for the journal;
- Previous editorial experience;
- An outline of the resources of the institution;
- A preliminary indication of institutional support for the relocation of the journal to its new home.
A final version of selected proposals will be due no later than September 15, 2015.
